Last night we had a rare opportunity - an entire zoo to ourselves...
Ok, not literally, but with less than 3000 people and knowing so many of them - it made it feel like it was our own private menagerie! The company my husband works for rented out the whole Detroit Zoo for the evening for their employees and their families. In a time when so many companies are struggling, we've been lucky enough to be with one who is having their best year yet! And they wanted to celebrate 125 years in business! Woo Hoo!
It was so cool to be able to wander through the exhibits with no lines, the few people around us were other families that we've seen grow up over the past ten years, and the kids always pick up where they left off at the last company get-together. Much like a huge family reunion! I took tons of pictures of the animals and plan to do some fun things with those soon for my stores - I'm thinking maybe some calendars and such!
Oh! I just looked at the clock - gotta run little one to school - have a marvelous day!
